Travelling by Sky-ship
Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci - Peretola) is the closest arrival point to Siena. The second closest is Pisa International Airport. We recommend renting a car directly from your chosen airport as the wedding venue is in the middle of the countryside with little to no public transport available.

What to explore…
Siena
To make the most of Siena, we definitely suggest a leisurely stroll through the town center and its winding roads and alleys! Of course, the magnificent Piazza del Campo and the gothic Duomo cathedral are essential stops. When it comes to food we would personally choose: Pizzeria alle Scalette, TeKeVoi, Hostaria il Rialto, and Pasticceria il Nocino!
Monteriggioni, the turreted fortress that guards the northern border of Siena, is also a must-see, and we cannot recommend Il Bar Dell’Orso enough for an amazing, proper Tuscan dining experience.
If you are seeking a relaxing day out, we highly recommend visiting the thermal baths at the Terme Antica Querciolaia, only a 30min drive from Siena proper.
The Chianti
The Chianti region is a picturesque landscape of rolling vineyards and olive groves, ideal for wine tasting experiences. While Florence is of course a must-see, don't miss the chance to explore charming medieval villages like Greve in Chianti, Panzano, and Castellina in Chianti. These gems are filled with history, old castles and incredible panoramic views that will truly capture your heart.
Val d’Orcia
The Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for its iconic rolling hills dotted with cypress trees and charming hilltop towns. You can explore picturesque villages like Pienza, renowned for its Pecorino cheese, as well as Montalcino and Montepulciano, home to the most prestigious Tuscan wines.
San Gimignano & Volterra
San Gimignano is an old fortified medieval town whose walls date back to the year one thousand. It is famous for its historic and artistic heritage and its architecture, especially its towers. Volterra, with its past as an Etruscan capital, a Roman settlement and a medieval city and currently a treasure chest of artistic masterpieces, dominates the beautiful Valdicecina.
